iCloud sync (Premium feature) automatically keeps your journal entries synchronized across all your Apple devices signed into the same Apple ID.
To enable iCloud sync:
- Make sure iCloud is enabled in your device's Settings
- Open Gratitude Daily
- Go to Settings > iCloud Sync and turn it on
Your data is stored in your private iCloud account and is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We never have access to your journal entries.
If your entries aren't syncing, try these steps:
- Check iCloud status: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud and ensure iCloud is working
- Check storage: Make sure you have enough iCloud storage available
- Check network: Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Force sync: Pull down on the Today screen to manually refresh
- Restart the app: Close and reopen Gratitude Daily
- Sign out and back in: Try signing out of iCloud and back in
If issues persist, please contact support with details about your device and iOS version.
To export your journal entries (Premium feature):
- Go to Settings > Export Data
- Choose your preferred format:
- PDF: Beautiful formatted document
- JSON: Structured data for backup/import
- CSV: Spreadsheet-compatible format
- Text: Plain text file
- Choose where to save or share the file
If iCloud sync is enabled: Your entries are backed up to iCloud. When you reinstall the app, they will sync back automatically.
If iCloud sync is NOT enabled: Your entries are stored only on your device and will be deleted when you remove the app.
We recommend enabling iCloud sync or regularly exporting your entries to keep a backup.
